Metronome Online had long been established as simple yet effective online Metronome tool. Over a period of 10 plus years, Metronome Online provided this tool to millions of students and musicians. As the years have passed the brand and website needed a new approach and provide additional offerings to the Metronome tool. The brand needed a new visual identity, brand approach and messaging, and new website to accommodate the new direction the brand was taking.
For inspiration for the visual identity, we drew from several different sources which included, the rings of the Metronome, the sounds and equipment of music, and how the musicians themselves would look to interact with the platform. For the user experience and user interface of the platform itself, we approached the process with the goal of balancing informative article based content with the resources and features the metronome tool itself provides. After the initial exploration, the site began to focus more on highlighting the product rather than the articles.
Through brand and UX strategy, we were able to create a modern visual identity system and website that reflects the technical aspects of the tool itself as well as the newly added content platform.
